Longest Flush Ever

Okay, the Longest Flush Ever goes to the left stall toilet in the women's room in Concourse B in the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. Nineteen, and yes, I counted, nineteen seconds.

Showers

Never underestimate the awesome power of a really good shower head. The shower heads at the Country Inns and Suites in Mason City, IA are, in fact, really good. That's just my opinion, though.

How lame is it?

How lame is it that I get really excited about really little things? Maybe it's a good thing, right? Maybe that means I'm young at heart and take joy in the small things in life. Or, conversely, maybe it means that I really have nothing to look forward to in everyday life and get all giddy about new Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon Shower Gel. Oh, and a new poof to apply it. Wheeeee. *showers twice*

Good Day

Found a couple new outfits for training. Was the TypicalGirl and probably bought too much. Okay, probably bought the right amout but probably spent too much money.
Feel lucky again this weekend. The Wisconsin Badgers are on ESPN again this weekend. Two weekends in a row, woo hoo. Really hope the Badgers can beat up good on Michigan. I know my friend Mac would be especially happy. Not because he likes the Badgers, but rather, hates Michican.
Oh, and I'm going to get drunk tonight. Is it bad knowing you're going to sit home and drink yourself silly? Do I have a problem? Yeah, my beer is empty.

Laptop

What's it about having a laptop around that just makes me want to be on the Internet no matter what I'm doing.
Sittting in the living room, might as well make a blog entry I suppose.

Food Abominations

Okay, three things about food today. Apparently this is the trifecta for these 24 hours.
First, bought some frozen type lunches to bring to work. As I'm waiting in the checkout line for what felt like an hour I noticed that all of the packages showed, and pointed out they were showing you, a Serving Suggestion. Now, I'm open to suggestions, I'm not convinced I've got all the answers and had it been something useful it might not have pissed me off. But, it was A FORK. Seriously, I think I could have figured that one out on my own. A fork. Feh. And not even a WHOLE fork--a tine and a half. Come on.
Secondly, in preparation for Fajita Night I bought a pack of white corn tortillas. Tasty. But, as I opened the package I noticed that 9 or the 12 (yes, that's 3/4) of the tortillas had been violently ripped in half. Not so good for fajitas.
Lastly, also in preparation for Fajita Night, I was cutting up a red pepper. Usually I just go for the standard (read: cheap) green pepper but I decided to splurge. And, I got more than my moneys worth out of this one for inside the red pepper, there was a tiny green pepper growing. No, I didn't use it, too. It scared me. I threw it out.

Extended-Family Vacation

Got to spend some time with my drum corps family this weekend. It was emotionally dichotomous to say the least. It was great to see folks I've shed blood, sweat, and tears with over the last three years. Unfortunately, there were too many tears shed this time around. R.I.P. Joel "Lothar" Magnuson.
Even though I didn't know him very well personally, he was still my brother in plaid.

On a lighter note, it was excellent to touch base with friends. Got to meet up with Dan (a.k.a The Best Friend) for some good minutes a couple of times. Got to see a bunch of other folks, too. Made some new friends from other drum corps. Which, isn't too hard when you pop the trunk and you've got homebrew on ice. "My name is Lindsay, here's a beer," usually works pretty well when meeting new people.

Stayed up way too late last night and am paying for it a bit today. Getting up and driving at 10 a.m. isn't a bad thing unless you didn't hit the sack until 6 a.m. It was totally worth being tired though. Thank you Renegades. Your Pizza Orgasmica 4 was excellent. If only I'd thought to bring the feather boa.
(On a side note, the spell checker has a REAL problem with the word Orgasmica.)
